APPLICATION
The Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community built a Way of Life (WOLF) facility in conjunction with the Boys and Girls Club. WOLF is a 119,000 SF, two-story community center that includes indoor gymnasiums, natatorium with waterslides, indoor running track, fitness space, full-service kitchen with dining area, and office and classroom space. In addition, the 14.3-acre site has a skate park, baseball and soccer fields, BBQ stations, restrooms, splash pad, and play areas. The facility includes a Natatorium that is air conditioned by a Munters pool dehumidification unit. This unit keeps the swimmers cool and comfortable, as well as protects the longevity of the pool environment. Designed by Henderson Engineering, the natatorium requires 30,000 CFM of conditioned air to satisfy the space requirements. Installed by Midstate Mechanical and MayDall construction, consistent communication between all parties led to an on time and under budget project completion! The members of the community will have fun keeping cool during the hot AZ summer!
