Project Manager Equipment / Air Distribution
Purpose of the Position:
We are seeking a Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the successful execution of a diverse range of projects and services in a team-oriented environment. As part of Varitec Solutions team, our expectations are that you will be a team player placing our internal/external customers first. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure, while managing resources, communicating with stakeholders, and resolving issues that may arise.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource
- Lead project teams, including engineers, technicians, and other support staff, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality
- Coordinate with clients to understand their energy efficiency needs and develop solutions that meet their
- Manage project risks, issues, and changes, and develop mitigation plans as
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry standards, including OSHA, EPA, and ASHRAE
- Analyze project data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes to enhance project
- Project delivery on time, within budget, and to the required quality
- Client satisfaction ratings, measured through surveys and
- Project profitability, measured through revenue growth and margin
- Employee engagement and retention, measured through turnover rates and employee satisfaction
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- The Project Manager’s supervisory responsibilities will encompass leading a team to achieve project goals, managing resources, and ensuring project success.
Skills and Essential Functions:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret written instructions and construction project documents as they apply to duties and responsibilities
- Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts, such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to Practical situations
- Ability to define problems, gather data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to make judgments after analysis of available information and respond with a timely
- Ability to plan work and sequence priorities
- Ability to speak articulately one-on-one or to small groups
- Ability to compose articulate and grammatically correct written communication
- Ability to perform under difficult conditions, such as simultaneous deadlines
- Ability to handle conflict
- Must be able to understand company and manage project financials, including project WIP’s
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related
- 4+ years of experience in project management, and/or industry knowledge
- Strong knowledge of technologies, including HVAC, lighting, and building envelope
- Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving
- Proficiency in project management software, including MS Project, Procore
