Parts Sales Specialist - Albuquerque
Purpose of this position
This position’s purpose is to sell OEM parts, aftermarket parts and equipment to the company’s existing clients, and to support the day-to-day activities of the EQ Sales Team by performing general and specific duties relating to parts supply management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a sales representative of Varitec, internally and externally, both via telephone and in person displaying courtesy, tact, professionalism, enthusiasm and discretion in all interactions with fellow employees and the company’s customer base.
Utilize existing software, forms, systems and office equipment to effectively provide assistance to all members of the sales team and its clients. These duties include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain supplier relationships by identifying/researching best sources; comparing products; communicating part requirements to customers and sales team.
- Extensive sales and customer service support and communication with customer base.
- Order parts and supplies and keep an organized inventory process by preparing and placing purchase quotes; receiving; inspecting and storing items.
- Maintain product information by reading technical manuals and bulletins; providing information to clients and their mechanics.
- Process warranty claims and warranty returns.
- Keep warehouse inventory database up-to-date by inputting all receipts and usage. Conduct a physical inventory semiannually.
- Create marketing campaigns to increase awareness of current products and offerings
- Become as familiar as practical with factory personnel, products and descriptions.
- Provide timely, accurate and courteous service to customers’ and co-workers’ requests.
- Participate in departmental meetings, refinement of existing systems, and development of new systems.
- Provide insight, suggestions, and enhancements to all current responsibilities.
- Participate in training activities.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have any direct supervisor responsibilities of other employees, but is expected to develop into a team leader position.
Qualifications
- High School graduate
- Ideally a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in parts sales.
- Familiarity with HVAC construction industry processes is a plus
- Expert with Microsoft Windows
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Access

Extent of Public Contact
Public contact includes extensive and constant interaction with Varitec customers, co-workers and vendor personnel.
Working Conditions and Environment
Normal office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm. However, all employees in sales and sales support functions are expected to have a “get the job done” mentality. This will involve additional time as necessary to insure that project deadlines are met as required.
